Vince Moyer

Vince Moyer Lawyeris a native of Rochester, New York. Vince attended St. John Fisher College and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He attended the University of Dayton’s School of Law receiving his Juris Doctor in 1986. While at the University of Dayton, Vince competed on the law school’s Regional and National Moot Court Competition Teams.

Vince was admitted to the practice law in New York in 1987. After being admitted to the Bar, he worked at the Monroe County Law Department and the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office. In 1989, he joined the law firm of Gough, Skipworth, Summers, Eves & Trevett, as an Associate where he worked for a period of two and a half years.

In January of 1992, Vince established and maintained a solo practice until June of 1993, when he joined the law firm of Faraci Lange. Vince became a partner at that firm in 1996 and remained there until 2007. In January 2007, Vince Moyer, together with Patrick Russi and Mary Randall formed their own firm; Moyer, Russi & Randall, P.C. In January 2012, Mary Randall returned to Monroe County District Attorney’s Office and the practice was renamed Moyer & Russi, P.C.Vince’s practice has concentrated in the areas of Vehicle & Traffic Law, Criminal Defense, Real Estate, Wills and Estates and Consumer Related Matters.

Vince Moyer has worked extensively with various labor unions in the Rochester area which led to the firm’s selection as the Administrator and principal provider of legal services to approximately 3,000 hourly employees at VALEO, an automotive component parts manufacturer in Rochester, New York.

Vince managed the VALEO Legal Service Plan, his background and experience with pre-paid legal matters helped the firm secure a contract with the New York State Teamsters Benefit Fund to act as the Administrator and principal provider of services to the New York State Teamsters Legal Benefit Plan. This legal benefit plan is responsible for providing services to approximately 10,000 active Teamsters across upstate New York. In addition to his involvement with pre-paid legal service plans, he also acts as Bank Counsel to Cole Taylor Bank, Eastcap Mortgage, M&T Mortgage Corporation, Premium Mortgage and Wells Fargo.Vince is an active member of various legal organizations including the Monroe County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the American Pre-Paid Legal Service Institute.

Vince Moyer has sat on the Monroe County Bar Association’s Professional Performance Committee, which is responsible for investigating allegations of inappropriate behavior and/or unprofessional conduct of attorneys who practice within the jurisdiction of the County of Monroe. Vince currently sits on the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Seventh Judicial District which is responsible for investigating allegations of unethical conduct and/or behavior on the part of attorneys who practice in the Appellate Division’s Fourth Judicial Department.
